Day 1: Arrival in Izmir (Dinner)
Upon your arrival at Izmir Airport, Kusadasi Port, or Cesme Port, our guide will warmly welcome you with a personalized sign and provide assistance and transportation to your hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in Izmir.
Day 2: Pergamum – Thyatira – Izmir (Breakfast – Dinner)
At 08:30, meet your guide in the hotel lobby to begin your journey to Pergamum, also known as Bergama. This ancient city is one of the sites of the Seven Churches of Asia. Explore the impressive Acropolis, the steepest theatre in the world, and the renowned Asklepion, a medical center of classical times. Marvel at the Altar of Zeus, referred to as the “Throne of Satan” in the book of Revelation, and discover the Temple of Trajan and the Library, which rivaled the famous Library of Alexandria.
Next, visit Thyatira, now known as Akhisar, another of the Seven Churches of Asia. Famous for its purple dyes, Thyatira is where Lydia, the seller of purple in Philippi, was from. Explore the remains of a basilica and architectural fragments from the Roman period. Return to Izmir for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Izmir – Sardis – Philadelphia – Laodicea – Hierapolis (Breakfast – Dinner)
Today, embark on an early journey to Sardis, one of the most picturesque areas among the Seven Churches of Asia. Discover the ancient capital of the Lydian kingdom, home to the Temple of Artemis and the restored gymnasium and synagogue.
Continue your exploration to Philadelphia, now Alasehir, the only church among the Seven Churches of Asia not censured. Visit the remains of a Byzantine basilica and frescoes dating back to the 11th century. Then, proceed to Laodicea, the last of the seven churches, known for its important commercial and logistical position.
Conclude the day with a visit to the healing city of Hierapolis, also known as Pamukkale. Experience the therapeutic waters and cascading pools before checking in at a Thermal Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Ephesus – Kusadasi (Breakfast – Dinner)
Drive to Ephesus and explore the ancient city, including the Basilica of St. John. Walk along marble streets lined with impressive public buildings, such as the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, and the Temple of Hadrian. Visit the Basilica of St. John and The House of Virgin Mary before heading to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
Day 5:
Departure from Izmir (Breakfast) After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Izmir Airport for your flight back home. End of services.
